and our flowers pass | LIGHT - Riley O’Flynn | HUMANHOOD

Focus on Creation

Europe/Rome
Add to calendar:

Orsolina28 Art Foundation presents a double bill, featuring works by Riley O’Flynn and HUMANHOOD.

The evening opens with “and our flowers pass”, one of the projects selected for Call for Creation, Orsolina28 Art Foundation’s call for new works dedicated to emerging young talent. In this work, Riley O’Flynn combines his own music and choreography in a multidisciplinary performance project. The music itself is presented in a new, deconstructed format, whilst O’Flynn explores how to move fluidly between music and dance within a single performance.

The result of an artistic research residency by choreographers Julia Robert and Rudi Cole from HUMANHOOD, “LIGHT” is inspired by the ancient creation narrative “Let there be light” and invites audiences into a suspended stage universe where form and formlessness coexist. Blending HUMANHOOD’s fluid physical language with heightened spiritual sensitivity, the piece unfolds as an experience-led journey. A subtle voice-over will gently guide the audience through moments of introspection, weaving reflection into the choreography and physicality of the performers. “LIGHT” promises a radiant and immersive universe, in which light becomes audible, sound becomes visible and the dancers’ bodies carry the energy of transformation.

In line with our values of inclusion and accessibility, all of our presentations are open to the community at no cost (reservations are required and all donations are welcomed).
