Dance//Dance Company Theaterhaus Stuttgart</a>\nOrsolina28 Art Foundation
welcomes Gauthier Dance and choreographer Hofesh Shechter for a sharing o
f their new work “Luck / Unluck”. The result of two creation residenci
es of Gauthier Dance\, as part of Orsolina28’s “Focus on Creation” p
rogram\, this work is built on striking contrasts and playful tensions\, w
here two distinct choreographic voices explore opposing yet interconnected
themes. The first part of the project investigates the idea of luck and i
s led by Aszure Barton (who came for a residency in March)\; this June\, H
ofesh Shechter has instead taken on its darker counterpart: unluck. To cre
ate this piece\, Shechter has deliberately turned the rehearsal process in
to a challenge to fate\, questioning whether the success of a creative wor
k truly depends on superstition\, habits or luck. What happens when an art
ist deliberately invites misfortune? The result is “Unluck”: a bold ch
oreographic exploration where risk\, doubt\, and intuition collide\, trans
forming uncertainty into creative momentum. The world premiere of “Luck
/ Unluck” will take place at Theaterhaus Stuttgart on June 26\, 2026. In
line with our values of inclusion and accessibility\, all of our presenta
tions are open to the community at no cost (reservations are required and
all donations are welcomed). ArtistsChoreographer: Hofesh ShechterArtistic
