Born from a collaboration between Roberta Ferrara and Gianni Notarnicola during a residency at Orsolina28 Art Foundation, “ARVO PÄRT vs DAVID BOWIE” (previously “David Bowie vs Opera”) is a diptych that places two powerful imaginaries in short circuit: Pärt and Bowie.

The spiritual rarefaction of Arvo Pärt meets the mutable and iconic imagery of David Bowie. Bodies move through these scores as emotional spaces, interludes, suspensions, fractures and refrains, exploring what breaks the flow of time and what comes back.
The project is also a re-encounter between Ferrara and Notarnicola, whose artistic relationship returns and renews itself, giving rise to a double chapter that continues to resonate in the dialogue between sound, memory, and bodies.
