Outside the Box - Naomi Berrill
Cherry Notes Series
“Outside the Box” is the result of Naomi Berrill’s artist residency as part of the Cherry Notes Series, the music festival organized by the Orsolina28 Art Foundation that brings together musicians, composers, and performers to develop new works in dialogue with the location and timing of the residency.
The project traverses different sonic worlds, weaving together original compositions and references that range from J.S. Bach to Björk, all the way to contemporary music. At the heart of the performance lies an intimate and personal exploration of sound, where the cello becomes an extension of the voice and a tool for storytelling.
The result is an immersive experience of contrasts and harmonies, capable of taking the audience on a musical journey rich in nuances and evocative moments, presented at the end of the residency at The Eye, nestled among cherry trees.
We have chosen to offer the performances for free (reservation required), in line with our values of inclusion and accessibility to culture. We are grateful to those who choose to make a voluntary contribution to support the Foundation's mission.
