Student Sharing | Project Rebirth - Pina Bausch | Tú Hoàng

Intensive & Focus on Creation

Add to calendar:

The evening opens with a presentation by the students from the Intensive program dedicated to the repertoire of Pina Bausch.

This is followed by “Project Rebirth”, a choreographic project by Tú Hoàng that explores transformation as a lived and embodied ritual. Moving through states of intensity, collapse and renewal, the work investigates cycles of death and rebirth as physical and emotional experiences.

Blending a strong physical dimension with symbolic imagery, the piece unfolds through repetition, exhaustion and release, allowing performers to shed constructed identities and return to a more instinctive and authentic state. Rebirth thus emerges not as a singular moment, but as a continuous and inevitable process.

The research brings together four dancers, each with distinct physical qualities. During a residency in Orsolina28, Tú Hoàng will approach these differences as a generative element, shaping the material in relation to each performer and exploring how diverse physicalities can contribute to the overall structure of the work.

In line with our values of inclusion and accessibility, all of our presentations are open to the community at no cost (reservations are required and all donations are welcomed).
